On 17 and 18 March 2026, we attended the Feira Mercoagro in Chapecó, Brazil: the largest trade fair for the meat and food processing industry in Latin America. By taking part, we have taken a significant step towards further strengthening our international position.
Our colleagues William Van Ampting (CEO) and Bernard Voortman (International Sales Manager) travelled via São Paulo to Chapecó to represent us on site. Together with our partners Cabinplant Latam and CAT² (Catsquared), they welcomed visitors and discussed ways to optimise processes within the food processing industry.
The exhibition provided ample opportunity to hold valuable discussions with both existing and new contacts. We shared knowledge, gained insights and explored how organisations can further improve their processes.
A key outcome of our participation was meeting BRF. During these discussions, the intention was expressed to establish a partnership, thereby laying the initial groundwork for further collaboration in the region.
In addition, we introduced ourselves to various OEMs, particularly in the field of packaging. We also spoke to several meat processing companies, the follow-up for which is being handled partly in collaboration with Cabinplant.
Mercoagro 2026 provided us with valuable insights into developments within the Latin American market and has led to concrete opportunities for follow-up. We therefore look back on a successful participation and see plenty of opportunities for further growth and collaboration in the region.
